This was part of some concept art I created for a short film called Parallel Cities. It's a live action film with an animated sequence, where Jenny (the young protagonist) recites a poem she wrote about the death of her mother. The Elephant creature at the beginning of the piece is huge and made up of fragments of her mother's clothing "Mummy's gone and left an awful mess. She's left parts of herself all over the house." But as time passes and she learns to deal with her grief the elephant evolves into something more familiar, as she is "learning to ride on the Elephant's back".
